December Meeting Report and Lessons Learned

I learned some things during our December au pair meetings.  First: we have a simply wonderful group of au pairs; I love talking and laughing with them and learning about their cultures and perspectives.  Second: I am terrible at remembering to bring my camera to our activities, and even worse at remembering to use it if I did manage to bring it.  I will improve.

Lucky for me, one of our au pairs saved me at the theatre with a camera phone, so we have some record of the day’s events:

The play was great (albeit a little unsettling at times, thank you very much rat king…) and our group impressively braved a walk to and from the theatre in the pouring rain.  Kudos to you all!

I was not so lucky photo-wise at our alternate meeting, as I forgot about taking pictures until everyone had driven away, although my camera had been sitting happily in my purse all night.  You’ll have to settle for imagining how much we enjoyed our get together at the old-timey ice cream parlor Cravings in Wakefield, MA.  Well, we had a great time.  Best of all, we got to meet Jessi, our newest au pair!  We will be sad to lose Cathy at the end of the week, but we are delighted that Jessi will be joining our group and hope she will have a great experience this year.

Looking forward to next month!
